Best Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches in Fairfax County, VA

Who doesn't love a great chicken sandwich? I know I do. Fairfax County has some great spots, let's go give them a try.

Today, we are talking all about chicken sandwiches. There are so many great ones: Popeyes and Chick-Fil-A are always a favorite. A lot of burger shops have them too. Today I am focusing on the new trend in chicken sandwiches, that's Nashville Hot. They have all levels of heat, so you can decide for yourself how hot you want to go. I tested out a few for you, let's go take a look.

WooBoi Hot Chicken in Herndon

This has been the number one, most recommended Nashville Hot chicken place on the list, so I can't wait to give it a try. I ordered the sando, the most popular item on the menu. It comes with cider slaw, bread and butter pickles and, what they call, comeback sauce. I ordered the medium heat and it was hot! I mean, not too hot, but boy am I glad I didn't go any higher on the list. All I can say is this sandwich did not disappoint! It was fantastic. WooBoi has another location in Alexandria, but Herndon is the original.

Hangry Joe's

This is supposed to be one of the best chicken spots in all of Fairfax County and I can't wait to try it. The original Hangry Joes is located in Fairfax City, now they have several more locations and they're still growing. I tried the chicken sando. It comes with cider slaw, bread and butter pickles, and hangry sauce. I ordered the medium heat and it had a kick, but not too much. I probably could have handled the hot, but I like things spicy. The cider slaw wasn't like any slaw I have ever had before, but it was delicious. The combo from the heat of the chicken and the sweet of the slaw was perfection!

Roaming Rooster in Vienna

They have a few more in dc also. I am at Roaming Rooster and I cannot wait to try their version of the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. I asked what the specialty sandwich was, since they have several sandwich options. He told me honey butter, so I went for it. This sandwich was smothered in honey butter and it had a slice of cheddar cheese. Again, I ordered the medium heat. It was spicy, but not overwhelming. I think the honey butter may have toned it down just a little bit, but it was certainly delicious.

All three of these Nashville Hot chicken places are fantastic. So, depending on where you are in Fairfax County, find the closest one. You will not be disappointed, they will all delight your taste buds. I hope you enjoyed my Nashville Hot chicken sandwich tour, I know I did!
